Thank you Kelly! I don’t have a tutorial made up. I just kind of went by measurements I found online for airline trays and winged it. I’ll think about doing up a tut this summer. :)

Plump blackberries make a wine-like tasty juice. For a quart of blackberry juice, it will take approximately three and a half pounds of berries. The juice can be used in jams and jellies, in pies along with the whole fruit, added to tea or lemonade or carbonated water for refreshing drinks, be an ingredient in smoothies, added to homemade ice cream, used in cooking and marinating, or to make cordials and wine.

Mmm, they all look so yummy!

I’m probably not going to be able to get much canning done this year, sadly. I’ll probably try to put up a couple of jars of jam, but I think I left it mostly too late to take advantage of really good fruit prices. Next year, though, I’ll remember to put aside a little more money and have a big canning spree, and put aside lots of fruit for the winter! Last year I made a really delicious blackberry-raspberry jam that I want to try again, for one thing!
