Sewing for Little Bit

I’ve been sewing like made to get things ready for our trip.  I made two small Peek-A-Boo bags today to hold a couple of toys for the plane ride.

Little Bit picked out the lady bug fabric himself. :)  I’d picked out the red for myself, but it went so well I used it too.  The white fabric, the clear vinyl, and the braided cotton ties I had on hand.

One of the bags holds a few matchbox cars…

And the other holds Little Bit’s Felt Scape. :)

Speaking of the Felt Scape… I also made it today.  All the felt shapes are made from the scraps of upcycled sweaters.  There are stars, hearts, circles, squiggles, diamonds, squares, petals, and some abstract shapes.  I got the idea for a portable felt scape toy from Chez Beeper Bebe’s Felt Egg Design Book.

The background fabric is polar fleece because I didn’t have any felt pieces big enough.  There is one blue and one white.

Using lots of different felted sweater scraps means a lot of different colors, patterns, thicknesses and textures of felt.

Felt Scape Fun…

This is such a quick and easy no sew project that anyone can make!  Little Bit was begging to play with it, so we made one. :)

It is put away now so I can save it for the plane ride.
